About Magic In Threes
G.E.D. co-founders Nick DeVan and Dave Singleton and keyboardist Mark Spain anchor the
psychedelic funk trio. DeVan and Singleton launched the group to add another layer of concept,
experimental soul to the G.E.D. label. Their self-titled, 12-track debut boasts all original kaleidoscopic
instrumentals featuring special guests the Coolin' System's Joe D. Douglas and Mikie Martel on horns
and Andy Brown on guitar.
"Vaguely familiar but oddly otherworldly, library music — especially during the early psychedelic era all
the way up to the early disco era — is the Bizarro Top 40, an alternate popular culture where anonymity
is part of the appeal. Library music — all mood and unspoken emotion — is an art form in its own right,
